Six months ago, while I was about to synchronize my iPhone with my Windows PC, iTunes asked me to run a major update, intuitively I accepted the request, then the software started the update progress. After 4 hours of downloads, all the system of the mobile and the iTunes where on hold, I can’t do any action, I got a message saying that the download is finished and the installation has been started. 15 minutes later, and after the completion of installation, I realized that my IPhone tab has been removed from the iTunes left bar!?
Disconnecting and reconnecting the device, plus some troubleshooting lead to the following result: “My iPhone firmware is no more compatible with my iTunes version”. How Funny!?
Because of many reasons, I have always been very hostile against iTunes, and still having a great hate for it. The main cause is the fact that iTunes is forced upon me by Apple, in order to manage my iPhone.

ITunes hate isn’t the only reason that made me throwing out my iPhone, Multitasking is another reason, I was really disturbed by the fact that I wasn’t able to run multi applications at the same time, even if Apple claims that iPhone does multitasking, I challenge you to actually manage multitasking on the iPhone platform.
Managing applications, is not the only challenge that you face on iPhone, installing them is not an easy task that you are in charge of, always getting back to AppStore and iTunes again.
All of above reasons and more, like software updates, browsing files, listening to music, changing ringtones and sms notifications challenges are behind my decision to move to the booming operating system, Android, not to miss the Bluetooth support.
Android phones can be managed using hundreds of third party applications so no iTunes anymore. Multiple applications can be easily run and managed at the same time. You can download any application from the internet and send it to your android using Bluetooth and install it. All of that in addition to a lot of user friendly features, that make your life easy.

I can easily argue on iPhone: “it should be shutdown sooner or later”. Do you agree? Do you think, as I do, that Android is the future of mobile? Do you think that Apple can win the war against HTC and Samsung? And can stop them from producing devices that run this – platform of choice- Android?
